Q: When planning a gathering in your home, where do you start?
I love to start off with the theme because it helps choosing décor, menu, and all the other party things so much easier!
Q: Your go-to ways to break the ice?
My favorite way to break the ice is to use our Conversation Starter Napkins at our parties! They're cocktail napkins with fun icebreaker questions on them, and they easily get people chatting.
Q: If you had a limited budget to put together a small dinner party, what would you focus on?
I would focus on shopping in my own kitchen, garden, and closet actually! You'd be surprised how beautiful you could make your tablescape with some fruit, garden florals, mismatched candle holders, scarves, and more.
Q: What makes a great gathering memorable?
Without a doubt, the conversations and food you share with others! My biggest tip would be to make that easy by having your main dishes, desserts, drinks, and activities strategically spread throughout your home. This creates natural gathering places for guests and gives your party a flow so guests have many different areas to move about.
Q: What is your favorite party trick?
We have a crazy hot sauce collection and love to show it off to guests! My husband is Jamaican and Haitian, so we've amassed a pretty exotic collection of hot sauces. It's so fun to have people try the different flavors and see how tough they are when it comes to the real hot ones!
Q: What is the most memorable party or gathering you've attended or hosted? Why?
The most memorable gathering I attended was my friend's week long wedding in Cancun. The location was beautiful, the food and drinks were out of this world and there was so much dancing!
Q: What are your favorite products or brands to use when hosting?
I love to use our brands Convokins Conversation Starter Napkins of course! I also like to bring out Uno and other quick group games!
